Ten Networking Commandments

  1. Thou shalt back up thy hard disk religiously
  2. Thou shalt not drop thy guard against the unholy viri
  3. Remember thy network disk; to keep it clean of old files
  4. Thou shalt not tinker with thine AUTOEXEC.BAT, CONFIG.SYS, and STARTNET.BAt files unless thou knowest what thou art doing
  5. Thou shalt not covet thy neighbor's network
  6. Thou shalt schedule downtime before doing major work upon thy network
  7. Thou shalt keep adequate supply of spare parts
  8. Thou shalt not steal thy neighbor's program without license
  9. Thou shalt train thy users in the way in which they should go
  10. Thou shalt write down thy network configuration upon tablets of stone
